“The Intentional Gardener”

Debbie’s garden journey began in 2016, initially wanting to transform a 50 year old neglected yard into an oasis of color and beauty that could be enjoyed from all the windows of her ranch house.  Creating garden beds and then finding success with a few tried and true plant selections in vacant spots, she quickly began expanding these original beds, establishing new ones, and adding more shrubs and trees to enhance the overall ambiance of her garden. Perennial and annual wildflower beds were then intentionally added that had to benefit wildlife and require minimal care. She understands diversity over monoculture, and strives to create a harmonious blend of plants that foster natural beauty and abundance. This being achieved, Debbie’s new goal is sustainability with an emphasis on low maintenance - a garden that thrives on minimal intervention. This joyous, vibrant and intentional garden is continually morphing into one that is less work for its gardener and better for the environment.
