“DGC Sprouts Learning Garden”

The Darien Garden Club recently launched a new youth club called DGC Sprouts and started a learning garden to help facilitate garden education and growing! At the DGC Sprouts Learning Garden, kids dive into age-appropriate, hands-on activities that make learning about gardening an absolute blast! The children are involved in all aspects of flower and vegetable gardening gaining knowledge and experience from seed to fruit.  The bounty is shared with our taste testing Sprouts and local food pantries spreading the joy of gardening and giving back to our community. During the growing season meetings are held in the garden and include "plein air" art, a pollinator safari, show and tell and much more.
