Pollinator Celebration/Presentation

Learn how to welcome pollinators to your gardens by building habitat and providing for their lifecycle in your garden when Darien Garden Club partners with Indian Prairie Public Library to celebrate National Pollinator Month.

Click here for more information and optional Eventbrite registration to receive reminders via email.

Registration is not required. This is a walk-up event. Eventbrite tickets are FREE and we will ensure that you’ll receive reminders to attend so that you will not miss this event.

At 2pm we are offering an educational presentation: Running concurrently with our exhibits and activities you can attend a presentation, “Mimics & Assassin (Bugs): What is That Odd Insect in Your Garden?” in Keshav Sanghani 's Meeting Room. Help us welcome our speaker, Karly Tumminello, Director of the Jurica-Suchy Nature Museum and Darien Garden Club member. Karly will share her knowledge about all types of interesting bugs that visit flowers! This amazing presentation will be immediately followed by a Q & A session. Please register with IPPL for this program as space is limited.

Be sure to see our Resource Page for links to important pollinator information.

Did you know that Indian Prairie Public Library is a certified Monarch Waystation? There are swamp milkweed host plants in Keshav's Garden. Check it out when you visit the Polliator Celebration!
